Headquartered in Houston, Texas, CherCo is an energy infrastructure company specializing in contracted compression services and equipment. Founded in 2021 by industry veterns Chet Erwin and Braden Norris, CherCo provides dual-fuel (gas and electric) contract compression services in a wide range of horsepower ("HP") offerings to operators across the Permian Basin, Barnett Shale, Eagle Ford Shale and Gulf Coast Region. In addition to compression services, CherCo also offers aftermarket services for customer-owned equipment.

Chet Erwin
Charles “Chet” Erwin serves as the Chief Executive Officer at CherCo.
Chet founded CherCo in 2021, where he has served as its President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to CherCo, Chet has served the compression industry for over 40 years. He first started his career with Energy Industries as an aftermarket sales representative. Using his experience, he co-founded Hanover Compressor Company in 1990 where served as the Chief Operating Officer and led the organization through dozens of acquisitions, a public offering and growth around the world. He then co-founded Valerus Compression Services in 2004 where he served as the Chief Executive Officer until its eventual sale to TPG Capital in 2009.
Chet holds a Bachelor of Science in General Studies from Stephen F Austin State University.
Braden Norris serves as the Chief Financial Officer at CherCo.
Before co-founding CherCo in 2021, Braden has spent the majority of his career growing and developing mid-sized companies working for family offices and within the management and executive team of the organizations he has served. Braden started his career with Morgan Stanley’s credit division. He successively joined Valerus Field Solutions where he began his studying of the compression industry. After Valerus, he joined Apex Heritage Group, Cogent Energy Services and most recently Bluejack Partners. He serves as a Board Member for Lubbock Electric Co.
Braden holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Utah State University.
Jaime Brito serves as the Chief Accounting Officer at CherCo.
Before joining CherCo in 2023, Jaime has served the oil and gas industry for over 25 years and has held roles of increasing responsibilities in the areas Finance and Accounting, Investor Relations and Operations with companies including Sirius Solutions, Sanchez Oil & Gas Corporation, Rosetta Resources Inc., and Haliburton.
Jaime holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He earned his M.B.A. from Rice University, with an emphasis in Finance.
Brett Gill serves as the Vice President of Asset Management at CherCo.
Before joining CherCo in 2023, Brett has served the oil and gas industry for over 15 years and has held roles of increasing responsibilities in Sales and Applications Engineering, Project Controls, Asset Management, and supply chain with companies including Hanover Compressor Company, and Valerus Field Solutions.
Brett holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University.
Richard Charpentier serves as the Vice President of Sales and Operations for CherCo.
Before joining CherCo in 2022 as one of its first employees, Richard has served the compression industry for over 30 years. He has held roles from Field Mechanic to Operations Manager to Senior Account Manager with J-W Operating, Hanover Compressor Company, Valerus Field Services, Axip Energy Services and Arkos Field Services. Prior to entering the compression industry, Richard served in the US Army as an Army Ranger.
Robby McBryde serves as the Vice President of Operations for the Permian Basin.
Before joining CherCo in 2023, Robby has served the compression industry for over 30 years. He has held roles advancing from Mechanic to Compression Manager, Regional Manager and eventually Vice President of Operations with most recently Kodiak Gas Services and previously Enerflex, EOG Resources, and Hanover Compressor Company.
Horace "Eddie" Pickett serves as the Vice President of Technical Services for CherCo.
Before joining CherCo in 2023, Eddie has served the compression industry for over 35 years. He has held roles advancing from Field Mechanic to Area Manager, Shop Manager, Consultant, Project Manager, and Maintenance Superintendent. Most recently in his Maintenance Superintendent role for Cox Operating, Eddie managed rotating equipment 21 offshore platforms. Prior to Cox Operating, Eddie has served for Universal Plant Services Midstream, Energy XXI, Petra Consultants, Wood Group, and Hanover Compressor Company.
Thomas Blanchard serves as the Director of HSE at CherCo.
Before joining CherCo in 2022, Thomas served the oil and gas industry for over 30 years. His career starting as a paramedic has allowed him to serve the organizations in numerous health, safety and environmental aspects. Thomas has focused on the compression industry since 2010 having worked for Valerus, Axip and now CherCo. He has also worked for NREMT and Flow-Zone.
Thomas holds certifications such as: Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Safety Management Specialist (SMS), and Safety Trained Supervisor (STS).
Prior to joining CherCo in 2022, Lisa has spent the last several decades in various administrative and HR roles within the compression industry. Lisa started in the compression industry in 2000 as an HR and Payroll Administrator for Hanover Compression Company, and later held similar and advancing roles for Valerus and Axip.
Lisa holds a Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University – Commerce.
Brig Martin serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at CherCo.
Prior to joining CherCo in 2022, Brig has spend his career serving the organizations he worked in any capacity from operations to finance to business development. Brig started in the energy industry with Green’s Energy Group (now N-SPEC Pipeline Services) in 2014 after spending a decade in the construction and HVAC industry.
Brig holds a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
